General Post Office (GPO) Nepal serves as the Office of Exchange (OE) in Nepal. It has also a function of exchanging mails as Air Mail Unit (AMU) between Nepal Post and international flight operators. It covers three districts in the capital valley with which its jurisdiction stretches far and wide. Recently, with the assistance of the Postal Services Department of Nepal, it has been operating Mobile Postal Service with three vehicles within the capital, which is also gaining a wide response from our clients and stake-holders. It has also started transporting its Mail through Closed Containers to District Post Office, Chitwan (DPOC), the main Hub for exchange of mails domestically. DPOC, then transports its freights to the eastern and western areas with similar closed mail containers. It’s been secured, safe and reliable to send or receive postal items nationwide these days.
